Privacy at Game Night

Last updated: 15 August 2026

Game Night uses only the information needed to authenticate players, build game libraries, run private group sessions and provide the features players request. We do not sell personal data and we do not use advertising trackers.

Information we process

  • Login identity and email through Supabase Auth and, when selected, Google.
  • Nickname, avatar and private-group membership.
  • Personal game ownership, reusable libraries and an optional Steam account connection.
  • Votes, preferences, session participation and battle results needed to calculate group outcomes.
  • Bug reports, suggestions and player-safety reports you choose to send to support.
  • Essential technical information produced by our hosting, database and security systems.

Google Sign-In

Google Sign-In is optional. When you choose it, Game Night receives your Google account name, email address and profile picture, when available, only to authenticate you and create or secure your player account. Game Night does not request access to your Google contacts, Drive files, Gmail messages or other Google services. We do not sell or use Google user data for advertising.

Who can see what

Your email and login identity are not shown to other players. Personal libraries, ownership choices and Steam details belong to you. Group members can see the shared group library, membership list and completed group results. Votes are private while voting and are revealed to the group only after completion. Random preferences remain private.

Retention and deletion

Account and profile data are kept while the account exists. Group history is kept while the group exists. You can permanently delete your account in Settings. Shared groups automatically pass to the earliest-joined remaining member; solo groups are deleted. Your login, email, profile, avatar, personal libraries, ownership, Steam connection and player-specific session records are deleted. Collective completed results may remain only without information that identifies you.

Feedback is private and used only to investigate bugs, review safety concerns and plan improvements. Database submissions made by or directly concerning a deleted account are removed with that account. Support notification emails may remain in the restricted support mailbox for up to 12 months so an active safety or technical issue can be followed up, then are deleted.

Your choices and rights

You can update your nickname and avatar, disconnect Steam and delete your account from Settings. For access, correction, portability, restriction or another privacy request, contact gamenightplay.support@gmail.com.
