Cookies used by Game Night

Game Night currently uses only first-party cookies that are necessary to provide requested features. There are no advertising cookies and no analytics tracker installed.

Authentication session

Supabase authentication cookies keep you signed in securely, validate your session and refresh it when necessary. Without them, signed-in areas of Game Night cannot work. Their lifetime follows the authentication session and they are cleared or invalidated when you sign out or delete your account.

Steam connection security

When you choose to connect Steam, Game Night creates a short-lived security cookie named game_night_steam_state. It is HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, restricted to the Steam callback path and expires after ten minutes or immediately after the callback. It prevents another site from forging the connection request.

Consent

These cookies are strictly necessary for authentication or for a connection explicitly requested by the player, so Game Night does not display a consent banner for them. If optional analytics or non-essential cookies are added later, they will remain disabled until an appropriate choice is offered.
